Day 1 | Foundations of AI in Procurement

The course opens with an exploration of how AI is reshaping procurement globally. Participants distinguish between traditional, digital, and AI-driven procurement models and gain a solid grounding in core AI concepts including Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, and Robotic Process Automation. The day covers an AI Maturity Model to assess organizational readiness, an overview of leading AI procurement platforms, and special focus on KSA Vision 2030 digitalization mandates and African market dynamics. The day concludes with a hands-on AI readiness self-assessment workshop and a case study on how major Saudi energy companies leveraged AI for cost reduction.

Day 2 | Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Management

Participants explore AI-powered spend analysis covering automated classification, anomaly detection, and savings identification. The day addresses intelligent supplier discovery, predictive supplier risk assessment covering credit risk, ESG scoring and geopolitical factors, and NLP applications for RFQ/RFP generation and evaluation. AI-driven supplier scorecards and performance management frameworks are introduced, supported by a hands-on workshop on building an AI-powered supplier risk dashboard and a case study from the Oil & Gas sector in the GCC context.

Day 3 | Contract Management & Compliance

This day focuses on AI's transformative role in the contract lifecycle. Participants learn how AI tools automate contract analysis, clause extraction, obligation tracking, and risk flagging. NLP-powered contract review processes are explored through live demonstrations of platforms such as DocuSign AI, Ironclad, and LexCheck. The session also covers fraud detection, e-procurement integration, and digital signature workflows, with a practical exercise on AI-assisted contract risk mitigation and a case study from government procurement in the KSA context.

Day 4 | Demand Forecasting, Inventory & Cost Optimization

Participants explore how AI transforms procurement planning through demand forecasting, inventory optimization, and dynamic pricing models. The day covers should-cost analysis using Machine Learning, Procure-to-Pay automation, and RPA for repetitive procurement tasks. Real-time market intelligence tools and ESG sustainability procurement — including AI for carbon footprint tracking and green sourcing — are demonstrated. A hands-on workshop focuses on building a demand forecasting model, supported by a case study from African mining and infrastructure sectors.

Day 5 | AI Strategy, Ethics & Change Management

The final day equips participants to design and implement an enterprise AI procurement roadmap covering data governance, KPI setting, and ROI measurement. Ethical considerations including bias, fairness, transparency, and accountability in AI systems are examined alongside Saudi Arabia's Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL). Change management strategies for driving internal adoption are discussed. The day concludes with an individual action planning workshop where each participant develops a tailored AI procurement implementation roadmap, followed by the course assessment and certificate presentation ceremony.
