Total Quality Management in Business

5-Day Professional Training Course | TQM5001

KSA · GCC · Africa

Course Overview

This intensive 5-day training programme on Total Quality Management in Business equips professionals with the philosophy, frameworks, analytical tools, and cultural change strategies needed to embed quality as a permanent, organisation-wide commitment rather than a departmental function or compliance exercise. Total Quality Management is not a programme — it is a transformation. From Deming's fourteen points and Juran's quality trilogy to Six Sigma, Lean thinking, and the EFQM Excellence Model, this course traces the intellectual lineage of TQM while keeping every concept anchored in the practical realities of running businesses across Saudi Arabia, the GCC, and Africa. As Vision 2030 drives Saudi organisations toward world-class operational excellence, GCC governments pursue ISO certification and national quality awards at scale, and African businesses compete in increasingly demanding global markets, TQM has shifted from competitive advantage to survival imperative. Participants leave not only understanding TQM but capable of leading it — designing quality systems, facilitating improvement teams, measuring organisational excellence, and sustaining a culture where every person, process, and decision reflects an uncompromising commitment to quality.

  2. Value stream mapping: identifying value-added vs. non-value-added activities across end-to-end processes

  3. The eight wastes of Lean: overproduction, waiting, transport, over-processing, inventory, motion, defects, and unused talent

  4. Lean tools in practice: 5S workplace organisation, Kaizen continuous improvement, Poka-Yoke error proofing, and visual management

  5. Applying Lean in service, government, and knowledge-work environments across GCC and Africa

  6. Workshop: Participants conduct a value stream mapping exercise on a process from their own organisation
