Daily Course Outline
Day 1 – Fundamentals of Maintenance Management & CMMS Introduction to maintenance strategies (reactive, preventive, predictive, reliability-centered maintenance); the business case for CMMS; overview of leading CMMS/EAM platforms; total cost of ownership and ROI justification; aligning CMMS with maintenance KPIs and asset management standards (ISO 55000).
Day 2 – CMMS Core Functionality: Assets & Work Orders Building asset hierarchies and equipment registers; work order lifecycle (creation, planning, scheduling, execution, closure); preventive maintenance (PM) scheduling and trigger-based maintenance (time, meter-based, condition-based); labor and resource planning within CMMS.
Day 3 – Inventory, Procurement & Cost Control Spare parts cataloging and criticality classification; min/max inventory control and reorder workflows; integrating procurement and purchase orders with CMMS; maintenance budgeting, cost tracking, and warranty management.
Day 4 – Reporting, KPIs & System Integration Key maintenance KPIs (MTBF, MTTR, PM compliance, backlog, OEE); building dashboards and management reports; integrating CMMS with ERP, SCADA, and IoT/condition-monitoring sensors; data accuracy, audit trails, and regulatory compliance considerations.
Day 5 – Implementation Strategy, Practical Workshop & Certification CMMS implementation roadmap: data migration, master data cleansing, and pilot rollout; change management and staff adoption strategies; case study workshop — designing a CMMS rollout plan for a participant's facility; final assessment, course review, and certification.
